Surgery under the influence

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A federal court in Tennessee ruled in favor of a hospital corporation in a suit brought by a fired urologist who claims he was discriminated against based on his substance abuse disability, finding he was not terminated because of a “serious health condition of substance abuse,” but was fired for the misuse of substances. The urologist admitted to performing surgery while under the influence.
