Surgery Center Faces Unusual Complaint

CLEVELAND, TENN. (CN) - A patient claims that while he was anesthetized after surgery at the Surgery Center of Cleveland, its employee Kelly Swafford Pickle painted his toenails black with a marker. This caused him such emotional distress that five months later it made him threaten to jump out of a car rather go to his appointment for a colonoscopy, because he was afraid of what might happen if he were anesthetized again, Matthew Rymer claims in Bradley County Court. He wants $1 million for emotional distress. See complaint.
