Surgeon Claims Pharmacist Slandered Him

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. (CN) – A pharmacist slandered an orthopedic surgeon by refusing to fill his prescriptions and telling customers that he “gives out too many narcotics,” and that he and his practice are “drug pushers,” Dr. Alan M. Lazar claims in Broward County Court.

Lazar demands at least $15,000 from pharmacist Bhupendra Shah and Publix Super Markets Inc. He is represented by David Rich.
