NASHVILLE (CN) - Two longtime shift supervisors say Shared Hospital Services Corp. fired them for objecting to the company's practice of hiring undocumented workers and giving the federal government bogus Social Security numbers for them. The men say they "were instructed to remain silent and to take every similar circumstance 'at face value' or risk losing their jobs."
The men say they were fired on the same day on bogus allegations of "defaming" the company by objecting to its illegal practices.
Nashville-based Shared Hospital Services, a laundry company, has about 140 employees, according to the complaint in Davidson County Court.
Plaintiffs Barrington Brown and Richard Chioccio are represented by Anne Martin with Bone, McAllester & Norton.
