Suicide Tries Blamed on Pfizer’s ‘Chantix’

MANHATTAN (CN) - Two men say Pfizer's stop-smoking drug Chantix drove them to attempt suicide after causing them "depression, aggressive behavior, erratic behavior, mood swings, panic attacks, blackouts and/or loss of consciousness." They claim Pfizer knew of the side effects but fraudulently concealed them.

Both men are represented in separate but similar complaints in New York County Court by Jerrold Parker with Parker Waichman Alonso of Great Neck, N.Y.
