Students Say Tech School Cheated Them

CHICAGO (CN) - A class action claims the Medical Careers Institute cheated students by falsely claiming affiliation with professional health technology organizations, and that it would prepare and qualify students to take professional exams in medical technologies. The 45 named plaintiffs demand millions in damages, and say the school was closed abruptly in October 2008.

Here are the defendants: Medical Careers Institute, William Zane, Thalia Zane, Martha Calvo, Taquia Mehdi-Razvi, Greg Petinatos, Jennifer Lambert, Kristin Rorledge, Rachel Kittler, Danielle Dodler, Renee Ochs, Meaghan Willis, Jessica Garrett, Erin Craven, Susan Spickard, Rebecca Smith, and Accurate Diagnostics Inc.

Plaintiffs are represented in Cook County Court by Jeffrey Antonelli.
