ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (CN) - Fourteen students say the Harris School of Business of Linwood and Premier Education Group cheated them of their $10,775 tuitions by falsely claiming that completing the college's curriculum would qualify them to take the AAMA-Certified Medical Assistants Exam. It didn't because the school was not appropriately accredited, the students say in Atlantic County Court.
Plaintiffs say the defendants run four college campuses. The students also sued the colleges' officers, and alleged a slew of misdeeds at the school, including abuse of federal lending programs, and that "cheating was encouraged by instructors."
The students are represented by Michael Ferrara Jr., of Cherry Hill, N.J.
