Student Loans

SAN FRANCISCO – A federal court in California ordered the Department of Education to file a report stating how many former students of the now-defunct, for-profit Corinthian College received notices telling them to repay loans or had their loans go back into collection.

Plaintiffs allege the department violated the terms of a preliminary injunction that blocked its plans to force more than 60,000 defrauded students to repay loans.
