Street Painting

WASHINGTON — “No one wants a city awash in paint,” a federal judge in Washington wrote, denying two organizations’ challenge to the city’s defacement ordinance and request to paint on the street during an upcoming rally: “Black Pre-Born Lives Matter.” The court found that granting the request would likely encourage others “waiting in the wings with their own ideas for street art … espousing their own desired message.”
