SAN FRANCISCO (CN) - NextClick Media cheats the public with mass emails that offer "absolutely free" stop-smoking and skin-care products, then charges the suckers $99.95 for the smoking stuff and $69.95 for the skin-care stuff and rebills automatically at that rate in succeeding months, while making it difficult or impossible to cancel, the FTC claims in Federal Court.
The FTC says Kenneth Chan and Albert Chen run the scam through their company NextClick, dba StopSmoking180.com, StopSmokingResolution.com, BeautifulSkin.com, OnLineDirectProducts, and Next Internet LLC.
