Still paused: USPS discretion in ballot deliveries

BOSTON — The First Circuit denied a stay pending appeal of a Massachusetts federal court’s injunction that blocked a Trump executive order that would have the federal government a list of eligible voters, then disallow the U.S. Postal Service from delivering absentee and mail-in ballots to anyone not on that list. The administration challenged the injunction only as to standing and ripeness, and the court find it failed to establish a likelihood of success on the merits as to those two issues.
