WASHINGTON (CN) - The Drug Enforcement Administration requests public comment on classifying over-the-counter steroids boldione, desoxymethyltestosterone, and 19-nor-4,9(10)-androstadienedione as schedule III anabolic steroids.
To manufacture, distribute, dispense, import, or export schedule III substances, or perform research or instructional activities with them, a person would have to be registered with the government.
Violation could result in a fine or imprisonment and possession also would be illegal.
There are no approved medical uses for these three substances, which have been sold over the Internet and from China.
