WASHINGTON (CN) - The U.S. Supreme Court declined to grant a stay or injunction to Gary Johnson and the Michigan Libertarian Party in their fight for ballot access.
The 6th Circuit notes that it also denied the stay request and that the case is currently being briefed in the Eastern District of Michigan.
Johnson claims that he should still be allowed to appear as a Libertarian candidate for president on the Nov. 6 ballot, even though he ran for Republican nomination in Michigan in February.
Secretary of State Ruth Johnson rejected the maneuver under Michigan's "Sore Loser" law.
