The U.S. Supreme Court on Wednesday declined to stay the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s decision to deny requests by four businesses to vacate the order by Governor Tom Wolf shutting down “non-life-sustaining” businesses during the Covid-19 pandemic.

WASHINGTON — The U.S. Supreme Court ruled Wednesday against four businesses challenging Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf's shutdown of “non-life-sustaining” businesses during the Covid-19 pandemic.

After the Pennsylvania Supreme Court refused to vacate or strike down Wolf's order, the justices on Thursday denied the businesses a stay.
