The cenotaph of Archduchess Maria Christina of Austria, a highlight of the Augustinerkirche in Vienna. Having been twice expelled from Austrian Netherlands by revolutionary forces, the archduchess returned to Vienna in political ruin and never recovered. Her heartbroken husband commissioned neoclassical sculptor Antonio Canova to create the cenotaph — which lacks a single Christian symbol but is filled with Freemason motifs.
