State’s First Hispanic Policewoman|Says Scottsbluff Made Her Job Intolerable

LINCOLN, NEB. (CN) - Nebraska's first Hispanic female police officer claims the City of Scottsbluff Police Department harassed and intimidated her, refused to pay her for overtime, refused to respond to a call for backup, and unfairly and illegally fired her because she is a woman and Hispanic. Stella Ojeda demands $5 million, plus punitive damages, for discrimination and retaliation.
