OKLAHOMA CITY (CN) - A former student claims the Canadian County Justice Center employed a "drill sergeant," Robert Roberson, who had inappropriate sexual relationships with her and another student, until he held them both at gunpoint, kidnapped the other student and stabbed her to death and was shot to death by police.
Named as defendants are The Gary E. Miller Canadian County Children's Juvenile Justice Center, The Canadian County Education Center, the estate of Robert Roberson, and Johnny Walters, principal of the Juvenile Justice Center.
The plaintiff claims Walters and the Center ignored or chose not to act on reports of Roberson's sexual predations, and that "School officials instructed students not to speak of these rumors."
The double killing occurred over Labor Day weekend in 2007.
The plaintiff is represented in Federal Court by Laurie Miller.
