State May Not Divert Tax Money To Charter Schools

ST. LOUIS (CN) - Missouri may not use tax money earmarked for the repayment of court-ordered desegregation bonds to fund charter schools, the 8th Circuit ruled. The judges upheld an injunction preventing the state from forcing the Kansas City Missouri School District to divert property tax funds to charter schools.
