BROOKLYN (CN) - Dr. John McGee claims State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Co. created "thousands of fraudulent documents" to cheat him of more than $1 million for medical services. McGee claims State Farm demands that its policyholders "undergo unnecessary medical examinations - referred to in the industry as IMEs ... - in order to create fraudulent denials of reimbursement". And he claims State Farm "secretly own(s) and control(s) fraudulently incorporated professional medical corporations ... to generate referrals for medically unnecessary IMEs and to split fees for medical services".
