State Demands FDA Action On Oxycontin

HARTFORD (CN) - More than four years ago, the State of Connecticut asked the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to require Purdue Pharma to put stronger, clearer warnings on Oxycontin labels, warning patients and physicians about the possible results of abusing the drug. The FDA has refused to act, so the State now demands that it do so, in Federal Court.
