State Accuses Open MRI Of Billing Fraud

CHICAGO (CN) - Operating through offices in Buffalo Grove and Westchester, Ill., Open MRI of Northern Illinois defrauded hundreds of insurers, patients and the State of Illinois by bribing doctors to refer patients to them, submitting false claims with inflated charges, and letting the doctors overcharge for procedures that Open MRI actually provided, in exchange for kickbacks, the Illinois Attorney General claims in Cook County Court.
