WASHINGTON (CN) - The Social Security Administration will send tickets for the Ticket to Work Program to any eligible disabled beneficiary upon request, regardless of whether the SSA has identified the beneficiary through its outreach efforts.
The SSA now also may send the tickets to eligible disabled beneficiaries instead of first mailing them ticket notices.
The SSA believes this change will make the Ticket Program more effective. It does not affect eligibility requirements.
Beneficiaries with tickets may use them to obtain employment services, vocational rehabilitation services, or other support services that they may need to become employed and stay employed.
