A federal court in California granted summary judgment to the U.S. Forest Service in a suit brought by conservation groups that claimed a forest thinning project in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest would harm the northern spotted owl.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A federal court in California granted summary judgment to the U.S. Forest Service in a suit brought by conservation groups that claimed a forest thinning project in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest would harm the northern spotted owl.
