Spammer Gets 30 Months In Prison

MANHATTAN (CN) - A Brooklyn man was sentenced to 30 months in federal prison for sending more than 1 million spam ads to AOL subscribers, pushing a product for a third party and hiding the source of the emails. Adam Vitale, 28, must also forfeit $183,304. His coconspirator, Todd Moeller, has been sentenced to 27 months in prison, the U.S. Attorney's Office said.
