LOS ANGELES (CN) - The City of South Pasadena demands CalTrans and Metropolitan Transit Authority remove a sales tax measure from the November ballot because the "I-710 tunnel project" it will fund was proposed without a proper environmental study. The 4.5-mile, $780 million tunnel will connect State Route 710 to the intersection of I-210 and State Route 134.
The ballot proposal would raise the sales tax by one-half percent for 30 years.
South Pasadena is represented in Superior Court by Arthur Pugsley with Chatten-Brown & Carstens.
