Soldiers May Get Swine Flu Shots at Pharmacies

WASHINGTON (CN) - Those with military insurance may get swine flu, regular flu and pneumonia vaccines at retail pharmacies authorized by TRICARE.

The Defense Department has adopted a new rule in preparation for a possible public health emergency involving H1N1 influenza this fall and winter.

In addition, the department requests public comment on allowing retail network pharmacies to be authorized providers for other TRICARE-covered immunizations.
