ROCKVILLE, MD. (CN) - A software developer used trade secrets to create and launch an Internet game, "MobWars," while working for Freewebs, the company claims in Montgomery County Court. MobWars apparently has become a popular game for Facebook users.
Freewebs and the Social Gaming Network sued David Maestri and his company, Psycho Monkey, alleging breach of contract, interference, and misappropriation of trade secrets.
They say Maestri breached his intellectual property agreement, and that they rightfully own MobWars, a game targeted at social networking Internet sites.
Plaintiffs' lead counsel is Yael Livny with Cooley Godward Kronish of Washington, D.C.
