SoCal Group Passed $6 Million in Bogus Bills

LOS ANGLES (CN) – A group of men from Southern California successfully passed more than $6 million in counterfeit U.S. bills, the government conceded earlier this week, in what prosecutors said was the most successful use to date of inkjet and laser printers to mimic $20 and $100 bills. Prosecutors said the bills “had a remarkable range of distribution,” and were put into circulation throughout the United States.
