SoCal Bank Manager Admits He Embezzled

SAN DIEGO (CN) - A 25-year-old bank manager pleaded guilty Thursday to federal charges of embezzling $36,000 from his JP Morgan Chase branch in Point Loma.

Mark Masiglat, of San Diego, admitted the embezzled the cash from January 2011 through August 2012, while working as an assistant branch manager, the U.S. Attorney's Office said.

He faces up to 30 years in prison and a $1 million fine at his Aug. 22 sentencing.
