EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. (CN) - A woman claims in court that she was illegally videotaped in the nude while preparing to enter a tanning bed.
She sued Michael R. Collins and JWKW Enterprise LLC dba Image Sun Tanning Salon, in Madison County Court. She claims the incident happed on April 3 when she went to the tanning salon in Glen Carbon, Ill.
"At said time and place the defendant, Michael R. Collins, without permission of plaintiff unlawfully videotaped plaintiff using his cell phone while she was in a tanning booth without clothing as she prepared to tan," the complaint states.
The complaint does not allege that Collins has any connection with the business, other than that he was there on that day.
The woman claims Image Sun failed to build the walls of its tanning booths high enough to provide her with a safe place to tan.
She seeks damages from Collins for intentional infliction of emotional distress and from Image Sun for negligence.
She is represented by William Wimmer with Wimmer, Stiehl and McCarthy, of Belleville.
