California and 10 of its counties sued Innovus Pharmaceuticals in Monterey County Court, claiming it falsely advertises Diabasens as a treatment for diabetes, and Apeaz as treatment for bone and cartilage destruction, and does so with “Dr. Esper,” who is not a medical doctor, but sits on the Innovus board.

SALINAS, Calif. — California and 10 of its counties sued Innovus Pharmaceuticals in Monterey County Court, claiming it falsely advertises Diabasens as a treatment for diabetes, and Apeaz as treatment for bone and cartilage destruction, and does so with “Dr. Esper,” who is not a medical doctor, but sits on the Innovus board.
