AUSTIN, Texas — A Texas federal judge partially found in favor of state officials who were sued over ballot access to minor parties. While Texas’ requirements for those seeking to get on the ballot are overall not burdensome, certain requirements, including the use of paper petitions, are burdensome and not necessary for Texas’ interest in not clogging the ballot with unsupported parties.
