MILWAUKEE (CN) - Nemak and its affiliates could cause a massive shut-down in the automobile industry if it succeeds in removing Slinger Manufacturing Co. as the exclusive dealer of engine cylinder liners for a Chinese supplier, Slinger claims in Federal Court.
Slinger sued Nemak for breach of contract and tortious interference, claiming Nemak wants to end Slinger's exclusive partnership with Henan Zhongyuan Engine Fittings Stock Company Ltd. The plaintiff claims such a severance would severely harm the auto industry, because the Chinese company is the world's only manufacturer of engine cylinder linings.
