Slave Whip Alleged in Parish Government

NEW ORLEANS (CN) - Jefferson Parish intimidates black workers in its Sewage Department by allowing its managers to keep "two lynch nooses, a slave master's whip, a whipping post and a 'butt kicking machine,'" in their offices, a black worker claims in Federal Court.

Terrence Lee demands punitive damages. His complaint alleges other discriminatory, racially prejudiced and violent acts, including "the placing of a dead rat" on his work tractor. He is represented by Danatus King.
