Six Towns Say Big Oil Poisoned Their Water

MANHATTAN (CN) - Six towns on Long Island say Amerada Hess and dozens of other oil companies contaminated their drinking water with carcinogenic MTBE - methyl tertiary butyl ether. Glen Cove, South Huntington, Huntington/Dix Hills, Greenlawn, Plainview, and Albertson Water Districts sued in Federal Court.

The water districts are represented by Robert Gitelman with Napoli Bern.
