Sierra Nevada red fox

WASHINGTON — The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has agreed to list only the population of the Sierra Nevada red fox that lives in the Sierra as endangered — although the secretive animals that live in the Cascades face the same threats as their California brothers and sisters.
