BENTON, Ill. (CN) - A sheriff who stole marijuana from his department, sold it from his squad car and threatened to kill two witnesses who testified against him has been sentenced to two consecutive life sentences plus 10 years in federal prison.
Former Gallatin County Sheriff Raymond M. Martin, 48, of Junction, Ill., also must forfeit $76,000 in cash and his $200,000 home and pay $51,500 in fines.
