MANHATTAN (CN) - A man claims Envision EMI and the Congressional Youth Leadership Council told him that for $2,549 his 12-year-old daughter could see President Obama's inauguration and attend four days of preliminary events. But he said the defendants couldn't get access to the Washington Mall and the kids had to watch the inauguration on TV at a hotel in Maryland.
Martine Bertoni filed the pro se complaint in New York County Court. He says the CYLC, a wholly owned division of Envision, hired a felon to arrange the festivities, and he failed disastrously. Bertoni claims the CYLC grossed $47.7 million from its "conferences" in 2005-06.
