ATLANTA (CN) - A drive-through customer claims in court that a McDonald's worker left his window station, came outside and held a gun to her head after they had "some type of verbal dispute or argument."
Angela Hagen sued J&L Melton Inc. dba McDonald's and Edward Thomas, in Fulton County State Court.
Hagen claims Thomas held a gun to her head at the McDonald's on Martin Luther King Drive on Atlanta, on Income Tax Day this year.
"As plaintiff was in line at the drive-through window, she and Edward Thomas had some type of verbal dispute or argument," Hagen says in the complaint.
"At that time, defendant Edward Thomas came outside, approached plaintiff and held a loaded gun to her head, threatening her life and causing plaintiff to suffer great fear and distress."
Hagen claims that McDonald's managers knew that Thomas brought a gun to work.
She seeks damages for negligence, negligent retention, premises liability and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
She is represented by Christopher Ziegler, with the Law Office of Michael Carestia.
