Shareholder Class Action

UBS AG inflated its the price of its securities through false and misleading statements, a class-action complaint claims in Manhattan Federal Court. Also sued are Peter Wuffli, Clive Standish and David Martin.

Shareholders accuse Municipal Mortgage & Equity of inflating its share price through false and misleading statements. Also sued in Manhattan Federal Court are Earl Cole, Michael Falcone, William Harrison, Mark Joseph, Melanie Lundquist, Gary Mentesana, Robert Banks, Charles Baum, Richard Berndt, Eddie Brown, Robert Hillman, Douglas McGregor, Arthur Mehlman, and Fred Pratt.

Shareholders sued Performance Food Group Co. to stop its $1.3 billion acquisition by The Blackstone Group and Wellspring Capital Management. Also sued in Davidson County Chancery Court, Nashville, are Robert Sledd, Steven Spinner, Charles Adair, Mary Doswell, Fred Goad Jr., Timothy Graven, and John Stokely.

Shareholders accuse ShoreTel of defrauding them in its IPO. Also sued in San Francisco Federal Court are John Combs, Michael Healy, Edwin Basart, Gary Daichendt, Thomas Van Overbeek, Kenneth Denman, Charles Kissner, Edward Thompson, Lehman Brothers, JP Morgan Securities, and Piper Jaffray & Co.

Shareholders accuse Telik Inc. of securities fraud relating to prospects of its cancer drug, Telcyta. Also sued in San Jose Federal Court are Gail Brown, Cynthia Butitta, Edward Cantral, Robert Frick, Steven Goldring, Reinaldo Gomez, Mary Ann Gray, Paul Mendelman, Herwig Von Morze, Richard Newman, Stefan Ryser, Marc Steuer, and Michael Wick.
