Shareholder Class Action

Directors of Bronco Drilling would cheat shareholders in their proposed sale to Allis Chalmers, shareholders claim in Oklahoma County Court.

Shareholders claims Superior Offshore International violated securities laws with false and misleading statements in its registration statement and prospectus. Also sued in New Orleans Federal Court are Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner & Smith, JP Morgan Securities, Louis Schaefer, James Mermis, Patrice Chemin, Roger Burks, R. Joshua Koch, E. Donald Terry, Leon Codron, Thomas Coleman, James Persky, and Eric Smith.

Shareholders claim BP America violated securities laws by failing to maintain its oil pipeline in Prudhoe Bay, causing two giant leaks, in March and August 2006. Also sued in Los Angeles Federal Court are FP PLC, BP Exploration Alaska, Steven Marshall, Maureen Johnson, John Browne, and Robert Malone.
