Shareholder Class Action

Directors misrepresented the finances of Michael Barker Corp., investors claim in Pittsburgh Federal Court.

Oppenheimer & Co. and Freedom Investments are the latest to face a class action accusing them of misrepresenting auction rate securities as liquid short-term investments equivalent to cash, in Manhattan Federal Court.

Shareholders accuse Agria Corp. of inflating share price through false and misleading statements in its registration and prospectus for its IPO. Also used in Manhattan Federal Court are Credit Suisse Securities, HSBC Securities, Piper Jaffray & Co., CIBC World Markets Corp., Brothers Capital Ltd., and individual directors.
