MANHATTAN (CN) - The executive vice president of the Shanghai Stock Exchange demands $40 million from three Chinese media firms, claiming they defamed him in two Chinese language articles: "'Mad Bull' Liu Xiaodong received private gain of 3,600 million?" and "Exclusive from Duowei: The 'overseas returnee beauty' who owns Shanghai."
Liu Xiaodong sued Chinese Media Net, Duowei News Network, Duowei Times, Wen Shengzi, and Jin Hyong. Liu is represented by John Walsh with Carter Ledyard in New York County Court.
