Sex Offenders on Social Media

New York’s e-STOP law and a corrections department directive that bans sex offenders from using social media are likely unconstitutional, a federal court in the state ruled, enjoining the ban from applying wholesale to sex offenders who did not use the internet to facilitate the commission of their underlying offense.
