MISSOULA, Mont. — A federal court in Montana ruled that a man who was convicted in Idaho under its “Crimes Against Nature” statute in 1994 should be permanently removed from Montana’s sex offender registry, finding that “engaging in consensual intimate sexual activity with a person of the same sex” does not make a person a “threat to the public or more likely to commit a sex crime.”
