The former head basketball coach sued Western Carolina University and the University of North Carolina in federal court, claiming they fired her because “a group of former student athletes, <strong><a href="http://www.courthousenews.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Discrimination.pdf">none of whom had ever attended WCU</a></strong>” complained about her sexual orientation.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->

ASHEVILLE, N.C. — The former head basketball coach at Western Carolina University claims in a federal complaint that the school fired her because “a group of former student athletes, none of whom had ever attended WCU” complained about her sexual orientation. WCU’s umbrella school, The University of North Carolina, is also named as a defendant.
