Settlement with LA Times gets prelim approval

LOS ANGELES — A federal court in California granted preliminary approval to a $3.8 million settlement with the Los Angeles Times over claims of unlawfully installed data trackers from its website. The terms appear fair and reasonable, and a final fairness hearing is set for next May.
