Service charge

ATLANTA — In a class action brought by a group of tipped employees, the 11th Circuit ruled a mandatory 18% service charge at the “Salt Bae”-owned restaurant Nusret Miami is not a tip and can be used to offset the establishment’s minimum and overtime wage obligations.
