Sentences & Legal Services

WASHINGTON (CN) - The U.S. Sentencing Commissionseeks public comment on new rules on various subjects including larceny, disaster assistance fraud, fraud by government leadership, and drug charges involving underage or pregnant individuals.

The Legal Services Corporation has issued amendments to its eligibility tables, which list maximum income level for legal services clients. The changes reflect annual amendments to the Federal Poverty Guidelines issued by the Department of Health and Human Services, and include two gradations, so legal services providers can use a scale between the two when adding other factors to their determinations.
