Senate districts

NASHVILLE — The Tennessee Supreme Court lifted an injunction that had blocked enforcement of a newly drawn political map, finding the lower court failed to consider the detrimental effects of extending the candidate filing deadline and the importance of avoiding voter confusion. Plaintiffs claimed the map violated the state’s constitution because it failed to consecutively number the four senatorial districts included in Davidson County.
